John Hopkins – Chairman
LLD, FAICD
JMr. Hopkins is a graduate in law of the University of Western Australia and has been admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor for more than 35 years. During that time he has been involved in a range of corporate, business and resource transactions for major national and international corporations. He is currently chairman of ASX listed tungsten and tin developer Wolf Minerals Ltd and he is also a non executive director of ASX listed emerging coal producer Universal Coal Ltd and gas and condensate producer Hawkley Oil and Gas Ltd. He has recently stepped down from chairing gold producer Adamus Resources Ltd and as such has overseen its last 4 years in making the transition from explorer to producer and taking its market capitalisation to over $300m. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. John brings a wealth of Corporate governance, finance and business skills to the Board of Midas.

Geoffrey (Geoff) D Balfe – Managing Director
B.App.Geol., MAIMM

Geoff is a qualified geologist with more than 30 years experience in Australia and overseas in the management and operation of major exploration and evaluation projects. Geoff’s extensive experience within Australia and overseas includes senior exploration management roles with MPI (10 years), ACM-Normandy (7 years) and AMAX, in addition to consultancy roles. His impressive track record includes direct involvement in the discovery and development of nickel orebodies at Silver Swan and Forrestania in Australia, and of gold deposits in Turkey and Nevada (USA). He has also held board positions in the subsidiaries of a number of resource companies, including MPI and ACM.

Derek Fisher – Non-Executive Director
Bsc(Hons), Phd, FAusIMM, GSA

Derek is an Australian geologist with more than 40 years of experience in the exploration and mining industry. He has been associated with the discovery, financing and development of mines in Australia, Africa, and east and west Asia. He has extensive experience in raising funds in North American capital markets for Australian assets as well as the IPO of mining companies in that sector.

Mark Pitts
Mr Pitts is a Chartered Accountant with over twenty years experience in statutory reporting and business administration. He has been directly involved with, and consulted to a number of public companies holding senior financial management positions. Mr Pitts is a Partner in the advisory firm Endeavour Corporate (Endeavour). Endeavour offers professional services focused
on Company Secretarial support; corporate advice; supervision of ASIC and ASX reporting and compliance requirements; and commercial and financial support. Endeavour acts for a number of ASX listed and unlisted Public Companies
including Midas Resources Limited.
